NTT Com Holds Global Solution Seminar in Shanghai

CITY, China — NTT Communications China (NTT Com China), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), organized the 2010 Global Solution Seminar at the Shanghai World Financial Center on November 12, 2010, providing some 100 clients with the latest information about potential solutions based on Biz Hosting Global, a high-quality cloud-based virtual hosting service that NTT Com China was scheduled to launch in January 2011.

In the opening speech, NTT Com China CEO Takanori Ishimoto talked about how business in China is being transformed by trends in mobile technology, e-commerce and ICT.

Kouji Numahata, an Executive Partner of Accenture Ltd., then discussed the need for elastic management, saying: “If managers fail to respond flexibly to the changing world, their companies cannot survive. In the same way, IT management also must be elastic, and this is where the cloud can provide optimal solutions.” Numahata predicted that by 2015, comprehensive cloud services will enable an era of “on-demand use” rather than “ownership” of ICT resources.

In the final third of the seminar, NTT Com Vice President Shinobu Umino presented his company’s view as a telecom carrier of how the cloud will change the world and facilitate totally new corporate strategies. “While creative corporate work requires ‘aggressive’ ICT, in the case of more routine work, such as accounting and inventory management, needs can be met with ‘defensive’ ICT, particularly through outsourcing solutions based on our BizCITY Global virtual hosting service.”

NTT Com offices organize Global Solution Seminars around the world to raise awareness of the company’s high-quality global services.
